Nomadic June Photography Home Page
Hi, I'm Zhanna. Our family left Belarus in 1989, we landed in Pennsylvania and stayed for a few years. I grew up all over the place, but mainly Florida. At 19, I drove cross-country searching for adventure and independence (whatever that meant to a 19-year-old). I ended up in Seattle and soon my 6-12 month adventure plan turned into 7 years. Just as I had started to get used to the idea of Seattle being my home (yes, it took that long to call it home), I went off on a month long trip to South America with two friends and met a Swiss man along the way. He and I found ways to meet again and again and again... and by the end of the trip he suggested I buy a one-way ticket to Switzerland and see it for myself. I continued my travels through Switzerland, Europe, US and Central America over the next year, spending most of my time with Gary. You know the stories of people falling madly, deeply in love with one another and can't imagine life apart? That's basically our story, I did what any sane person would do, I married him and moved to Switzerland.

Photography has been part of my life since high school. I started with a Nikon film camera and went on from there. I mainly photograph people, nature, travel and recently started wedding photography. Aside from that, I spend a lot of time in the mountains, climbing, hiking, exploring, writing, and daydreaming.

Nomadic June was created as a way for me to share my passion for photography and adventure. It's a way for me to keep in touch with family, friends overseas and meet new people in Europe and around the world. Moving to Switzerland has also given me a fresh perspective on life, considering I'm kind of starting all over again (learning French, making new friends, being a wife, and so on) it stirred up all kinds of hopes and dreams for the future, and I have time to pursue those now.

Thanks for taking interest! Write me, I'd love to hear from you!
